The CNY reunion this year was one of the weirdest reunions I've ever been to.
We arrived at Jurong point in three groups - one at Subway, one at GV and one who was late. Spent one hour eating lunch and yelling at each other because no one wanted to watch a movie and no one wanted to go to the arcade. We had three choices - stay at Jurong and waste time, go somewhere else and waste time, go to NTU and thrash HF's house.
By that time, our big group broke into two groups - one group went to play at Naman's house and the rest went to NTU.
And then we got broken up even further - Al, HK and Mitra missed the bus, so we gave them the bus number. Then Eugene Lim called them and told them the wrong bus number, so they were fuming, so Eugene called them back and said that HF had lied (ahem) and that they were on board the correct bus. Then he told them to get off at Hall 6 when it was actually Hall 14. So HF "lied" again and they were told to get off at Hall 14.
Once there we decided to walk to the soccer field. HF said it would be a five minute walk, so that was fine. THen she remembered it was a five minute run.
So one group got tired of the sun and went back to Jurong Point where they watched a movie. The others went and played soccer and baseball while some played cards nearby.
In the end? The most screwed up, weird, not-thought-through reunion ever.

Today I went to KK hospital for the I-don't-know-what time this month. The fourth? Fifth? Maybe sixth.
Anyway. It was quick, fast and relatively painless - the visit. I went to take the blue stitches in my toes out.
I didn't even know the first one was out until the nurse showed me the thread. The second one was much more painful - perhaps because this time I knew she was doing it. The third and fourth were ok, although it started throbbing after that.
Four, neat little holes in each corner of the nail.
One of them was bleeding slightly. Two of them looked like the stitches were still in them.
Finally, I've uploaded pictures! Feel free to scream and squeal in disgust.

(I apologise for the quality of the pictures - bit blur, I wasn't supposed to be taking them.)

You know what? On Monday I'm going to miss school again.
Mind you, I'd rather go to school than miss it, mainly because I'm missing it to get the stitches in my big toes removed.
Without anesthetic.
Wouldn't that be painful. (For those who are scratching your heads wondering if it would be, the answer is, YES.)
Today they took off my dressing again. And this time it was five times worse, because this time she trimmed the nail (while pressing on the stitches, owww) and prodded and poked and tore my blood clot off.
Owch.
Honestly, it's not funny. It hurts like hell. And I hate the stitches. They give me a lot of pain.
Pain. I'm slowly getting accustomed to that thing.
Anyway.
School is dead boring. And I'm back to my usual habits. I'm still doing other stuff in Chinese class and not listening to the teacher (although he's ten times better than Dujia).
And during Maths? The teacher went into labor (heavily pregnant) yesterday so we didn't have any maths.
English? English and Literature are the only subjects keeping me sane.
PE? Doesn't apply to me...helloo, remember my toes?
Home ec? Four words: YAM CAKE EPIC FAILURE
music? Don't ask.
Art? Even worse.
As you can see, my year is just about to get a whole lot worse.
Just as well I didn't make any new year resolutions. They never work out anyway.

I got to see my toes today, buhahahaha.
The nails are covered in blood, and flecks of blood surround the wound. There're even stitches, although I don't know where that came from. The nail's much thinner now, and the skin is raw. I think it looks like I got shot through both toes and it's into its third week of recovery.

Other than that, nothing else to report. I'll be back to school on Monday (sad, I've been enjoying the holiday) - back to Chinese, Home Econs and general rubbish. Fantastic. It also means more opportunities to write stories. Speaking of which, I need to go and research on the battle of Midway now.

Aw, poor Hermann Goering. Pity your big bombers didn't do much to stop the RAF though.

I hate operations. Especially if they're on my toes.
My dad forced me to go for LA instead. Which means a couple of jabs (in my case, a few) in both of the toes. And the toe part has lots of nerves so it's even more bloody painful.
The right toe was alright, after the jabs I couldn't feel anything. But the left toe...I think they didn't jab it properly the first time because I could still feel it when he started to dig into the toe. And that hurt like hell too. So I told 'em and they jabbed me again. Which was even more painful.
They were playing oldies (instrumental) when I first went in. Things you haven't heard of. Things like "tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree" or "let it be". Nice music. But then I think they thought I didn't like the music, seeing as they were oldies and youngsters these days hate oldies. So they changed the CD. And I didn't like it one bit.
Now I've got monster toes and they aren't pretty. For my right toe, there's lots of blood on the bandages. Makes me look like I got shot in the foot. Other than that, it's alright.
I didn't have the operation until about 3, two hours after it was supposed to be conducted. It was 4 when they finished. And because they thought I might want GA, I had to fast from 7. That's 9 hours without food. Thankfully I had a double cheeseburger, four nuggets and one packet of twister fries after that. Delicious. And the best thing about this op? I don't have to go to school for the rest of the week. Including today and yesterday.
My left toe's starting to hurt. Where are those painkillers?

and not Operation Market Garden.
Why?
Namely because I am going for an operation today, and Overlord succeeded but Market Garden didn't. Now, of course I want my operation to succeed, or I'll have to keep going back and getting jabs and a helluva lot of pain when I stub my toe on something. Now that wouldn't be very nice.
Time's running out. I've got one more hour to go and I'm bloody starving. Thing is, when you use GA you've got to fast before 'cause GA makes you nauseous. So today what I had for breakfast was a slice of bread - plain, white bread, without margarine or jam or anything. And a cup of milk.
I've got two choices - GA or local. If I do Local, it's gonna be real painful when they inject the stuff, but if I go for GA then I'll wake up feeling terrible. Honestly? I've woken up feeling really terrible before, so that isn't gonna be a problem, but my parents want me to go for Local.
It's not gonna make a difference 'cause by the time you answer I'll already have completed it, but what do you think?

~Today in History~
1945: General Bernard Montgomery holds a press conference in which he claims credit for victory in the Battle of the Bulge. Why of all the lying cheats! Thankfully everyone knows it was Patton and the Americans who did it.

~Quote of the Day~
Are you going to lie there and get killed, or get up and do something about it?

-Unknown soldier. If I were him, I'd just lie there, frankly. Especially if it's way behind the front line.
