Write to live, live to write.

AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Today, was a particularly boring day.
Not that boring, really, compared to normal days.
But still.
1st lesson: Literature. We were herded to the library and made to do a timeline of Romeo and Juliet.
Yep, folks, we're doing that crappy love story for lit. (By the way, they define "comedy" as a play with "a thread of joy" running through it and a happy ending for "most of the characters". Therefore, we can classify Romeo and Juliet as a comedy as it has a "thread of joy" (the lovely dovey stuff) and a happy ending (for everyone except all the dead guys).)
And then we had Chinese. Which, thankfully, was rather boring. Which is good.
Then there was P.E. And we played...uh..."softball". Technically not softball, since we didn't even have a field to play in. It was raining like hell and the wind blew two goalposts down. So we pitched (UNDERARM, not overarm!) at some cone while the people with the (SPONGE) bats "bunded" it back.
I couldn't even really whack the ball properly. Bunding is decidedly not fun.
Then we were taken up and made to stand right in front of a goalpost, sideways. We were to face Mr Yeo [aka Super ultra papaya head] and when he threw us the ball, we were to whack it into the net. Geez, are you sure this is SOFTBALL?
Ah well. 100% batting rate, though. Though it was pretty easy. Still.
Then came recess. Fried food Wednesday! We went to play volleyball. My arms are still red.
Maths was next, and with it, plain, pure, FUN. I introduced Mr Tan to his new buddy, Patch the one eyed smiley, rubber, super-destructive ball.
Let's see. First it was just bouncing the ball and catching it, then it was throwing it into the air where everyone could see it (everyone except Mr Tan, anyway.)
AMAZING! IT'S A MIRACLE! He actually scolded me! (Ok, so he didn't confiscate it, but still, it's a start!) He said something along the lines of "it's distracting me". Although I've edited it so that normal people like you and I can understand his English.
After that I threw it into the cardboard box next to the dustbin twice. He didn't even bat an eyelid at the racket I was causing. Then I tried the dustbin, but missed and it flew out. I ran out and got it and he didn't say anything as usual. Another experiment, another success!
Then it was physics, and with it boredom. I HATE PHYSICS. There isn't much to say.
For English we had a report writing test. The scenario was some classmate getting caught in the bus and being dragged for several metres. The details were absolutely unclear. I shan't even try to explain.
(That reminds me, if you're looking for some explanation to why my tagbox is being spammed, here it is. During English yesterday Sushi penalized me for reading a bit of the wrong question and asked us to come up with a volunteer to sing. So I didn't want to sing. Besides there were two choir members in our group! So poor Pheo went up instead. Sorry...)
