AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY Saturday, August 30, 2008

It was anything BUT teacher's day.
In the morning, we had asus [that how you spell it?] day, and had to do the damn family dance thingummy.
They shouldn't be stereotyped and think that all girls like dancing. I mean, some of them just plain hate it. Some people like me.
Anyway. After that we went to the drama studio and had some talk about theater appreciation.
The only part I took in was the part about Army Daze. And even then, I just took in the army related parts.
Then we had a free period. So it wasn't a free period, it was Ms Zhuo [relief teacher for Lemon]'s Maths lesson. It was as good as a free period, anyhow. We - me, that is - did everything but maths. And she didn't even try to stop us.
Then came the celebrations. Which weren't even real celebrations. The teachers played pictionary [poor scandalous pair, having to endure being broken up! In fact, it was so bad that one half just creeped over to the other half's side. Sorry. I'm digressing.] against us, and the Sec 1s won the Sec 2s. Sorta, anyway. 18 points to 15.
[You know how they acted out titanic? One teach put her arms around one half of the scandalous pair. That half put her arms out and it was like the "i'm flying, Jack!" scene. At least, according to Foxtrot, it's the "I'm flying, Jack" scene. I haven't watched it before. It's a love story, people! You don't expect me to watch love stories!]
Then they had bowling, which was even weirder. The pins were plastic bottles, and the bowling ball was newspaper. They hurled the ball, they didn't throw it properly. Probably too light for it to hit anything down.
And then all the teachers got onto the stage and presents were handed out. [They asked for us to stand up and shout dedications to the teachers: I suggested standing and shouting, "Can we go home now?"]
Then, we were let off fifteen minutes late and I rushed to HPPS to have another reunion.
We didn't get to see the teachers much. I left the presents on their desks before we took bus 61 to West Mall. Boy, was I hungry. All I had was a musli bar since morning. And it was 12 o clock odd.
Arunima "I rock!" Gupta went wild. Eugene Lim was saying that she's gotten more bimbotic and she was vehemently denying it. And I, sitting next to her, said, "You know, I think she has a point."
She didn't help my hunger headache by hitting me on the head.
We finally got to West Mall and went to eat lunch. I scoffed down my Fish and Chips in less than ten minutes. Then we went to some CSC thingummy to bowl. But all the lanes were used, so we went back later. We trekked back to West Mall to play arcade games. I spent all my money on the Street Basketball along with HF and Aru, playing almost non stop. No wonder I'm aching all over today.
Then we went back to bowling. By now the huge number of 25 odd people had dwindled down to around 16. So anyway. There were so many confounded problems with the machine that two games took us about two hours. And for the second game, there were only three people left in our lane. Poor Ken had to pay an extra four bucks 'cause we finished after six.
By then there were only what, six of us left? Then Ernest left at the bus stop. Wei Liang remembered at that point that he had souvenirs from Beijing [the lucky smartass got himself a ticket to China's capital via some maths olympiad]. It pays to wait. I got three of the five olympic mascots.
Ken left for his house and Mich, Wei Liang, Kai En and I walked back to West Mall. Mich and WL waited for their parents [lucky kids], Kai En took the bus, and I took the MRT. This time I wasn't stupid enough to go one whole round, so I got off at Bishan [somehow the train service terminated at AMK...again.] and waited. We then went to Thompson Plaza, went home and slept.
I've got a headache now. I've just finished typing out my eight page, two thousand, nine hundred and thirty seven word story. I've also just finished reading the Da Vinci Code for the fourth [or was it fifth?] time.
I've also got to go now.
